MY ROLE

In the capacity of the principal UX Researcher and Designer for this project, I assumed a central role in various critical aspects:

Requirements Gathering: I formulated a comprehensive user survey for preliminary research and conducted in-depth analyses of the collected results.

Interactive Prototype Development: Following the requirements phase, I employed Figma to meticulously craft an interactive prototype and produced a detailed walkthrough video to enhance the effectiveness of the presentation.

Business Strategy: I played a pivotal role in executing a thorough competitive analysis, conducting extensive market research, delineating investment requirements, and formulating a projected roadmap for Buzzin's scalable production.

Genuinely I think if more clubs used the Engage calendar and more students knew how to check it, that would solve any problems.

I've had a busy day and just got done with my last class. I need a break! Let me check Buzzin to find out what's happening around me.

I login to Buzzin using my GT SSO Credentials.

The map shows a good mix of events aound me and it's all in walking distance too!

The Resume workshop seems interesting, let me check it out!

Looks like my friends will be attending! Hope I don't have a time conflict.

Let's quickly check my calendar. All good! Just have the Technique Staff Meeting after this.

I've added it to my Calendar!

Let's make sure I have my Technique meeting on here!

An organization filter should do it.

Nice, they're nearby. And just like that I have my evening sorted!

Strangers on the Internet

Teams were made through random assignment. We were effectively strangers with a common goal.

Given the short timeframe, this implied instantly assessing our diverse skillsets and tuning ourselves to be on the same wavelength. Moreover, our schedules made it difficult for us to meet in person, reinforcing strong active communication.

The show must go on!

The Innovation challenge took place in the middle of finals week, and we found ourselves juggling this along with classes and exams. As such, one of our teammates dropped out, leaving us with a team of three.

I took the initiative to coordinate our schedules and fill where needed. This was a good test of my time management skills.

A Race against Time
Ideally, we would have liked to conduct detailed formative assessment but, given that we only had a week in hand and most students were too busy with finals to participate in interviews, we put together a survey and pooled in our resources to share it with as many students as we could.

Despite the time constraint, we amassed 61 responses with a good representation of students from all levels.
